FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of kippahs does the Kippah Klean™ work for?

The Kippah Klean™ works for kippahs sizes 1 through 6 of almost any material besides silk.

What is the mesh bag for?

The Kippah Klean™ should be secured inside the mesh bag when washing for complete protection.

How long does assembly take?

It should take less than two minutes to put together - and the nice thing is that you only have to assemble it once.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Not yet. As a growing small business, we're currently shipping only to the lower 48 states. We hope to expand to additional locations in the future.

Should I use detergent? And if so what kind?

Yes! The Kippah Klean™ works well with most detergents.

Can I use stain removers such as Spray 'n Wash with the Kippah Klean™?

Absolutely. Kippah Klean is compatible with most stain removers and laundry additives.

What washing machine settings should I wash my kippah on?

Wash on delicate with warm water (don’t use hot water).

How do I dry my kippah after its washed?

Remove the kippah and leave it on one of the domes to air dry. You may prefer to rotate the kippah on the dome to reduce indents on the kippah when dried.

Can I put the Kippah Klean™ in the dishwasher or dryer?

No. Never put your Kippah Klean™ in the dishwasher or dryer. Warm water is fine but the heat from a dishwasher, dryer, or hot washing cycle will cause the Kippah Klean™ to warp and deform.

What is the Kippah Klean™ made out of?

The Kippah Klean™ is made from strong yet slightly flexible 3D-printed, mechanically engineered plastic, that is designed for repeated use.

Can I wash more than one Kippah at a time in the Kippah Klean™?

Unfortunately, the Kippah Klean™ can only wash one kippah at a time.

After many washes, I'm noticing lint marks on my kippah. What's causing this?

After many washes, some lint can build up inside the mesh bag, especially along the inside seams. This lint may occasionally transfer to your kippah and appear as white marks. Simply let the kippah dry, then remove the lint with a lint roller. To prevent future buildup, turn the mesh bag inside out and rub along the inside seams by hand to loosen and remove the trapped lint. You can also separately wash the mesh bag inside out as needed.
